ableBanking Helps Give Your Charity a Boost

by | January 17, 2012,

January is the slowest time of year for charities and charitable giving. So, ableBanking is engaging the community to give a boost to YOUR favorite local non-profits!

Now through January 31st nominate a Massachusetts non-profit that you care about, whether it’s a little or well known charity, your school PTO, church, or town recreation center – any registered 501c3 qualifies! The five non-profits that receive the most nominations will each receive $1,000 from ableBanking.

We’re excited to partner with some amazing local bloggers to spread the word about this charitable campaign. The team includes Rachel Blumenthal of Fork It Over, Boston! and Boston Food Bloggers, C.C. Chapman, an entrepreneur and the founder of Digital Dads, Nirasha Jaganath of Mommy Niri and Mommy Niri Cares, Christy Matte of Quirky Fusion and Boston Parent Bloggers, and Roxanna Sarmiento of Everyday Treats and Frog and Snail Society. Visit their blogs to find out which causes they’ll be supporting.

ableBanking, an online bank just for savings was founded on the belief that banking could be better for consumers – and communities too. Like other internet banks, ableBanking will offer better interest rates and no fees. But what’s different about ableBanking, is that we’re also giving our customers the power to do more for their communities. So we’re not spending money on fancy ads and instead, we’re giving that money to any charities that our customers choose. There is no catch – better rates, no fees, and money to give to any charity you choose. – Heather Campion

  3. Angel Memorial is a wonderful caring hospital for pets. It’s a unique institution, so helpful and kind. Ihope they receive one of you grants.

  4. We may not have a blogger behind us but the Ms. Wheelchair Massachusetts Foundation could really use your nominations. $1000 would be huge to us and really help us impact the lives of women and girls living with disAbilities in Massachusetts.

  5. Save A Dog is not only a non-profit, but they have no endowments or private fundings and completely rely on personal donations. In 2011, over 350 dogs were taken from the brink of death, and homed into FurEver homes. PLEASE vote for Save A Dog!!

  6. Angell Memorial is all about Animals. They are top notch, thorough and professional. Massachusetts is very fortunate to have Angell.

  7. MSPCA-Angell Memorial is a wonderful organization and does an amazing job taking care of our four legged friends. They were extremely supportive when our beloved pet was very ill. I highly recommend and hope they are one of the 5 nonprofits that will be awarded the cash.

  8. I have been taking my Great Danes to Angell since 1985 because once I found this great compassionate animal hospital I could not go any where else. Everybody there loves the animals and are very helpful to the people also, I have seen many acts of kindness there. I drive from Providence, RI to Angell because I am confident that my Great dane will receive the best care available. I think that they deserve one of your grants.
    Thank you,

  9. The MSPCA does amazing work for rescued and abused or neglected animals as well as providing fantastic medical care at Angell Animal Medical Center. We have adopted from the MSPCA and our cats have received amazing care at Angell – this organization is non-profit and would benefit enormously from a $1,000 donation. Thanks!!
